A NOTE FROM FR. JIM TO ALL OUR PARISHIONERS & FRIENDS:
Thank you ALL for your thought & prayers. I want to let you know that you are all in my prayers as I say a private daily & Sunday Mass. To say I miss you all, giving Communion & speaking with you after Mass would be a grievous understatement. All of our worlds have been individually & collectively rocked by these events swirling around us due to this unseen virus. We hear constantly on TV & Radio & online individuals & corporations saying, “We are in this together”.
However, as the People of God, the Body of Christ, “WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER” has a special meaning… Because we are in this together with Our Heavenly Father, Our Lord & Savior Jesus, The Holy Spirit, the Blessed Mother, St. Joseph, Our Patroness, St. Frances Cabrini, all the Saints & Hosts of Heaven & of course one another.
And because “we are in it together” we can claim & count on Christ’s Peace in our hearts. “The Peace of Christ Be With You” that we hear & share at Mass is more than a greeting. It is “the Peace of God that passes understanding” as the Bible promises. Avail yourself of His Peace. It is deep & It is abiding and It centers and calms our souls, especially in the midst of troubles & turmoil. We do what we can do & WE LEAVE THE REST TO GOD! I fully understand it may be easier said than done but that is because of us not because of Our Lord. Stop for a moment & receive HIS PEACE. IT IS YOURS!
“PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU, MY PEACE I GIVE TO YOU; NOT AS THE WORLD GIVES, DO I GIVE TO YOU. LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED, NOR LET IT BE AFRAID.” The Gospel of St. John, 14:27
I am here for you! Love in Christ Jesus, Fr. Jim
